Quarter Horse is a horse breed registered in the USA (American Quarter Horse Association) and is the most widely used horse in the USA. It is the breed that exists in the largest number worldwide with about 3 million registered specimens. Quarter horses are extremely fast, especially over short distances they reach breathtaking speeds. This was proven in horse races in the 18th century when they even outran English thoroughbreds. It is agile, muscular and has a calm psyche. The breed gets its name from the fact that it is the world's fastest horse in an English quarter mile. There are about 3,000 Quarter Horses in Sweden and about 100 new foals are registered per year. All Schleich figures are realistically modeled and lovingly hand-painted for educationally valuable playtime. Dimensions 14.1x3.4x10.6 cm. Age recommendation 5-12 years.
